What is Chessboxing?
Originally, chessboxing was imagined as a comic strip by Enki Bilal in his album Froid Équateur in 1992. Iepe Rubingh, a Dutch artist, organized the first fight in 2003. Over the years, chessboxing has become a sport in its own right, with its own rules, world and European championships and its first clubs.
Two athletes compete on a boxing ring where a chess table is also placed. They must respect both the official rules of chess and those of English boxing.
At Vakario, we really want to know more about chessboxing schools, in case they want to sell online courses. We are not sure that we will risk to do trainings on the spot though...
